How To Build A List Quickly By Using A Giveaway Event

The most valuable tool of an online marketer is an opt-in list with targeted subscribers. An opt-in list can be used to follow up on people who have agreed to receive your information, in return for a free Ebook or special report that you give away from your website or blog.

If you are serious about your business, then everything you do should be focused on growing your list(s). It is true that it takes time to build a responsive list, but there are many (free) ways to get people to your sign up page.

You can participate in online forums where other members will see your signature file, use the power of social networking sites, set up joint ventures with other business owners, swap newsletter ads, leave comments on popular blogs, etc.

A recent method to build a list quickly is by participating in a Giveaway Event. Most Giveaways allow you to submit a free product, but instead of giving away your product from their site, they redirect the traffic to your own squeeze -or landing- page, where you collect the visitors names and email addresses. In return for receiving all the free traffic, you promise to promote the Giveaway to your own list(s).

A Giveaway works like a giant ad swap. All contributors promote the event to their list(s), and thousands of people visit the Giveaway where they sign up for the free product offers. The cost to join a Giveaway is zero, but you can rake in hundreds, if not thousands of new subscribers in a very short time.

You just need a gift of your own, and a special landing page where your autoresponder form collects all the new leads for you, 24/7.

Important: there's no need to create a long report or Ebook when you want people to sign up for your gift. You can keep it short. Nobody likes to browse through hundreds of pages on a PC screen. As a matter of fact, some of the best information online can be found within 5 page reports, so follow this rule, and you will keep your readers happy.

- If you don’t know how to write a free report, you can get free PLR articles from the site below, and then turn a few articles into a short report...

The Private Label Club:

Or you can download a package of 15000 PLR articles that you can do anything you like with from here: http://www.instantinfoprofit.com/articlemonster

To get more people to sign up for your offer, you need to make your offer unique. One of the biggest mistakes that Giveaway contributors make is to offer a product that can be downloaded everywhere. You can even give away a bundle of products, there is no need to stick with only one gift. The more valuable your offer, the more people will join.

It is also common practice for marketers who participate in Giveaway events to set up a one-time-offer when people sign up for their freebie. This can be a profitable option. If your special offer is well presented, reasonably priced, and related to your freebie, there is a good chance that people will buy. This way you not only build a list, but at the same time you monetize all the new traffic on autopilot.

Conclusion, joining a Giveaway is a great way to get extra traffic and sales for your online business.

Hi Dirk,
Your article was fine. I have seen many giveaways and I used to participate in some for freebies.
The trouble is one is signed up to too many newsletters then. Everybody wants to sell you something.

Now to take part in a giveaway as a contributor is a different thing.
In order to do that one needs a list,
100-200 on a list won't do it.

Hi Dirk,

I've joined your Giveaway list, but haven't received the e-book yet!

Can you send it again.

Thanks,
